On the 7 December a fantastic carnival and lantern procession left the Civic Centre at approximately 6.00pm and danced and paraded through the City Centre eventually arriving at Mayflower Park at approximately 6.45pm where the Queen Victoria Christmas Festival was  in full swing. The spectacular Notting Hill style costumes are being made and will be worn by local school children from Thornhill Primary School, Woodlands Community College, Kanes Hill School and Bassett Green Primary School, CANTELL MATHS AND COMPUTING COLLEGE many other community and voluntary groups have been part of costume and lantern making across the city.
